For decades, office walls have been covered with cheesy motivational quotes and imagery that was intended to inspire inhabitants to work harder and strive for success.
From an early age, we are taught the value of hard work. “Work harder than the next guy” society tells us. “Work longer hours, sleep less, and grind” we are told.
Procrastination… Most of us fall victim it. I certainly do at times. Psychology Today reported that as many as 90 percent of college students are chronic procrastinators.
In 1992, Gatorade launched the inspirational “Be Like Mike” television ad that prompted millions of fans to imagine themselves as Michael Jordan with flashy highlights and a catchy jingle.
Before becoming an entrepreneur, I had a good amount of business experience on paper. I boasted over 15 years of corporate experience, including building multi-million-dollar business units at two Fortune 500 companies.
Like countless entrepreneurs, I often have several projects on my plate at any given moment and enjoy the challenge of this balancing act.
